Adaptability 5
1 Corinthians 12:14-15 – For in fact the body is not one members but many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body?
The family of Christ is very unique. God did not make any one of us the same. No not one. We all have different skills, trades and spiritual gifts that the Lord had bestowed upon us. When you think about it, it’s cool how God worked all of it out. You see, certain individuals could be really good at teaching, or for some encouraging, prophesy, making others laugh, serving, working with their hands and etc.  We all have something exceptional to bring to the table. But at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what skill set you have, it only matters if we are all using our gifts to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ. I thinks it’s funny to imagine what the world would be like if everyone had the same personality and characteristics. This world would be a very dull and boring place. But the real point in this verse is that we need to content with what skill the Lord has given us. We can look to the right or left and compare what we have to others. Or else that will cause the enemy to have a foothold on you and cause a discourse in the family. Make sure to thank the Lord for what he has blessed you with. It’s good to let the Maker know that you appreciate His fine taste in making you.
Application
