Fully Trust

Fully Trust Daniel 6:23 – When Daniel was lifted out of the den, no wounds were found because he trusted in the Lord. There is so much power behind this verse and so much greatness within it. Because Daniel trusted in the Lord, he was saved from the lion’s den. Can you imagine what a powerful testimony he had after that all happened to him. How many people heard that and thought wow, there is a God! They probably thought, I want what that guy has! And the cool thing is, we all have that same power through the Holy Spirit! I think that is crazy! He trusted in God with his whole life in that situation and he knew without a shadow of a doubt that God would get him through it. Are we trusting God with everything that we have? Or are we wasting our days away because it gets hard sometimes? So often times today, we put God in a box and don’t allow him to do the incredible things that he is capable of doing in our life. I know that is true for me in some cases. Especially with this

Best of Me

Best of Me Numbers 18:29 – Out of all the gifts to you, you shall present every contribution due to the Lord; from each its best part is to be dedicated. In this verse, God is asking Aaron to present everything that he gets back from the Israelites to present to him the best of everything. The livestock, the money, the firstborn male child and so on. God is asking for the best because that’s what he rightfully deserves! This really made me stop and think. Am I really giving all of my best to the Lord? This is a really challenging verse.  Am I really giving my best to the Lord? Is the way I am spending my spare time pleasing to the Lord? Are my thoughts pleasing to the Lord? Is what I am receiving being given back to the Lord in 10 fold?  Is my actions and thoughts being dedicated back to the Lord as something pure and best? I have asked myself all of these things. Along with another questions that I presented in this chapter. Is the Lord enough for me. If he took everythi

The Blessing upon You

The Blessing upon You Numbers 6:22-27 - The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, Thus you shall bless the people of Israel: you shall say to them, The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. “So shall they put my name upon the people of Israel, and I will bless them.” This passage is talking about how God asked Moses tell Aaron that this is the way He wanted to show blessings and favor to the Israelites.  First off I thought it was interesting how God only said to bless Israel specifically. God wants to bless everyone, but he wants to bestow upon his chosen people a special blessing. I think it’s cool that the children of God, you and me, get to partake in that and receive such an honor as that. He gave Aaron specific instruction to bring blessings them, and today, God is sending people out to do the same thing in other people’s lif

Perfect Law

Perfect Law Psalm 19:7-10 - The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous. The Law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing to the soul. David is conveying that the law of the Lord is pure and righteous and undefiled. It’s not been corrupted or tainted. The ways of the Lord are not only refreshing but reviving to the soul. It’s what keeps us walking on the path of righteousness and gives us wisdom and peace. Everything that God has given us through his word is all true and sure. There is no fault with it nor is there any errors embedded in it. To those who seek wisdom and understanding, that’s what the words bring through the Holy Spirit. Everything that God teaches us is righ

A Biblical look at: Bad Company

A Biblical look at: Bad Company 1 Corinthians 15:33 - “Do not be misled, bad company corrupts good character.” Lately, God has really been challenging me to be ready to give a defiance to what and Who I believe in. So I have been taking certain subjects that are common and start looking them up in the bible. The most recent one I have been looking and studying about is Bad Company. So I started to seek further on what the bible says about bad company and that is when I came across Proverbs 22:24-25, “Make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man, lest you learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare.” Bad company is individuals who are given over to anger, bitterness or is self-destructive. In Proverbs 24:1-2, “Do not envy the wicked, do not desire their company; for their hearts plot violence, and their lips talk about making trouble. Bad company is someone who thrives to cause trouble and make problems for other people.  Proverbs 14:6-7 says, “T
